EggBred Expansion in the Works

CEO Albert Shim has struck deals with five franchisees to expand EggBred in both the Orange County and Los Angeles markets.

La Habra daytime favorite EggBred has some big expansion plans in the works.

According to an article on FastCasual.com, EggBred CEO Albert Shim has struck deals with five franchisees to expand EggBred in both the Orange County and Los Angeles markets.

One of these new EggBred franchisees, Mike Yi, told What Now Orange County he’s currently keyed in on Costa Mesa and Yorba Linda as potential locations. Despite a “a limited number of available retail, let alone restaurant locations,” in the Orange County area, Yi hopes to secure a lease soon.

EggBred, which began in La Hambra in 2020, has quickly developed a reputation, receiving coverage from the Food Network, Thrillist, and the OC Register, among others. The concept specializes in elevated breakfast and lunch sandwiches served on plush Japanese milk buns.
