Taco Bell is bringing its new Live Más Café concept to more SoCal cities. Construction records show the company is remodeling its corporate-owned store at 303 W. Imperial Highway in Fullerton to transform it into the beverage-focused version of the brand.
This refresh will focus on front-of-house upgrades, including a new 250-square-foot beverage station with new equipment, plus a new front counter. Dining area updates will also be completed, with new furniture, ceiling, and lighting fixtures. The store has an occupancy limit of 53.
While the business did not return multiple requests for comment, construction bids were due in late August, so things appear to be progressing. ACIES Engineering and Valerio Architects are listed on plans for the 2,000-square-foot site with a single-lane drive-through.
The Live Más Café concept was first piloted in Chula Vista almost two years ago, and is centered around its refreshing drinks, including chillers, aguas frescas, and specialty coffees. It also has an elevated breakfast and snack menu as compared to traditional Taco Bell units.
This Fullerton store will join the list of several others planned for this area; up to 30 Live Más Cafés are expected to open this year, in SoCal as well as Texas. Over the summer, it was announced that outposts in Orange (which What Now OC covered) and Irvine are in the works.
