Hi-Desert Cultural Center Plans New Bar

The arts complex is adding a beverage service area.

Hi-Desert Cultural Center’s Playhouse, located in Joshua Tree, has submitted plans to add a bar to its facility, records filed with the county show.  The arts complex, located at 61231 CA-62, submitted a tenant improvement permit for the project recently.

As outlined in public records, the business is seeking approval to attach a 2,762-square-foot covered art patio to its existing 50’x100’ theater building. The new patio will feature a 1,113-square-foot beverage service area, it states.

Hi-Desert Cultural Center, founded in the 60s, has grown into a regional arts powerhouse. It offers professional and community theater, orchestral concerts via the Joshua Tree Philharmonic, extensive arts education programs, and award-winning original productions at several venues, its website explains.

Jarrod Radnich serves as President, Chairman, and Artistic Director of the Hi-Desert Cultural Center. A renowned pianist and composer, Radnich’s arrangements have reached millions online, and his work has been performed globally. He also founded the Academy of Musical Performance, his biography states.
