The proposed Hotel Clemente & Loretta’s Restaurant, located at 229 Avenida Del Mar, is making strides toward approval after working with the Design Review Subcommittee. Once complete, it will be a 28-room resort and restaurant.
The project is now heading towards a Planning Commission review, after suggestions from city officials to make some adjustments. For the restaurant onsite, there will be 106 seats, including 16 outdoors, a rooftop deck, and full bar service.
Hotel Clemente will have a garage to accommodate 35 vehicles, a great solution for parking in an area that is notoriously busy and hard to find spots. Just blocks from the beach and San Clemente pier, it is a prime location.
Simms Restaurant Group is the company behind the project. The hospitality firm, founded in 2009, has a list of eateries under its belt, including Simmzy’s, The Arthur J, Manhattan Beach Post, Fishing With Dynamite, and Tin Roof Bistro.
