Life Time Fitness, a luxury athletic country club brand with an integrated cafe concept, is getting ready to open a new location in Brea at 1600 Brea Mall Road.
The company’s newest location is set to open at Brea Mall, where a recent Type 47 liquor license application was submitted for an on-sale general eating place, signaling plans for a LifeCafe inside the club. The new Brea location is expected to arrive in Summer 2026, according to the company’s website. Customers can expect a full-scale fitness facility paired with a LifeCafe offering prepared meals, smoothies, and alcoholic beverages.
Life Time operates more than 185 athletic country clubs across the United States and Canada and continues to expand in California. The Brea club will join existing Southern California locations, with several additional sites scheduled to open in the coming years. The company positions its clubs as comprehensive wellness destinations that combine fitness, recovery, and dining under one roof. Each location is designed to serve a wide range of age groups with amenities that go beyond traditional gym offerings.
The Brea Mall site will span approximately 85,000 square feet across three acres. Planned features include indoor and outdoor pickleball courts, a resort-style pool deck, dedicated group fitness studios, and recovery spaces with sauna, steam room, and cold plunge. The property will be located on the lower level near the Nordstrom parking deck, with the Randolph Avenue entrance listed as the best access point.
A key component of the concept is LifeCafe, the brand’s in-house dining and bar program. The cafe typically serves made-to-order smoothies, coffee drinks, salads, grain bowls, sandwiches, and other health-focused options designed for pre- or post-workout meals. With the Type 47 license in place, the Brea location is also expected to feature similar offerings as the other California clubs.
