South Temecula will welcome a new dining option later this year with the arrival of CAVA, a popular Mediterranean restaurant. The restaurant will open later this year in the Vail Ranch Center, located at 31709 Temecula Parkway, according to Patch.

It will set up shop in the shell formerly occupied by Pacific Marine Credit Union, next to Taco Bell. The 2,200-square-foot space is currently under construction, and already has a drive-thru lane.

The menu is designed around the principles of freshness, flavor, and customization. Customers have the flexibility to build their bowls, salads, and pitas with clean-label ingredients, proteins, and a variety of toppings.

CAVA has been making headlines recently with strong financial performance and revenue reaching $233 million. In Q2, net sales grew by 35 percent, and same-store sales rose by 14.4 percent. The company plans to open over 50 new locations this year.
