Seattle’s acclaimed MOTO Pizza is set to open its first out-of-state location at the upcoming Miramar Food Hall in San Clemente this fall. The Orange County Register named the chain as one of the dozen-or-so tenants set to be a part of the opening roster of the property, located at 1720 N El Camino Real.

This isn’t your typical run-of-the-mill pie shop. Known for its “odd pizza” that blends Detroit, New York, and Roman styles with Filipino influences, the company emerged as a result of the pandemic. It has grown to seven outposts in Washington, becoming one of the area’s most trendy choices.

MOTO will join several other tenants, most of them SoCal brands. Cosmos Burger, El Puerto Street Tacos, Immersion Coffee Co., La Vida, Lobster Lab, RolledUp Sushi, Sidelines Sandwiches, and The Pita are all from the San Diego area. Ricebunn, Hen Haus, and It’s Allll Rice are OC-based, and Graciously Thai comes from Temecula.

What Now OC has comprehensive coverage of the upcoming Miramar Food Hall’s progress. It will operate inside the former historic Miramar Theatre, a 1938 landmark that once housed a movie theater and bowling alley. Tiger Hospitality, the team behind San Diego’s Windmill Food Hall, is the operator.
