Ono Hawaiian BBQ will open its first location in Temecula as part of a new development project, Patch reports. The popular fast-casual restaurant — known for its Hawaiian-inspired plate lunches and island specialties — is slated for construction at 29540 Rancho California Road.

The project involves the demolition of the long-vacant Claim Jumper Restaurant building; in its place, two new buildings will be constructed, one to house the Ono Hawaiian BBQ and the other for a Better Buzz Coffee Roasters.

Plans were approved by the Temecula Planning Commission on April 17. Records show that Ono Hawaiian BBQ will be constructing a 2,839-square-foot eatery with a drive-thru lane and a small outdoor seating area. There will be 78 parking spaces provided to be shared between the two businesses.

Ono Hawaiian BBQ, headquartered in Diamond Bar, California, offers a variety of island-inspired dishes made with fresh ingredients and authentic recipes. The restaurant’s menu features options such as chicken katsu, Hawaiian BBQ chicken, and teriyaki chicken, as well as seafood and vegetarian dishes.
