Pace & Pint, the newest venture from A Snail’s Pace Running Shop, is set to become a unique destination in Brea. Slated for a January opening, the bar will be integrated into the already established A Snail’s Pace Running Shop at 1040 E Imperial Hwy #F2, records from the county show.
The idea behind Pace & Pint is a space where runners can gather to socialize, grab a drink, and unwind. Its location is nestled within A Snail’s Pace, which has been a staple in the Southern California running community since 1979.
Pace & Pint will offer a selection of beers and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy. The bar will be open during store hours and for special ASP events, and will serve shop customers and ASP Run Club members,
A Snail’s Pace Running Shop has locations in Brea, Fountain Valley, Mission Viejo, and Monrovia, each serving as a go-to destination for personalized shoe fittings, expert advice, and a wide selection of running gear. The business also operates one of the oldest running clubs in the country, providing free coaching for 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons, and marathons.
“Pace and Pint is meant as a community gathering space, for runners and walkers to meet, go for a run, and hang out afterward,” Lien Chen, marketing director, told What Now OC. “With the opening of Pint & Pace, we are excited to meet new community members. As we like to say, ‘New shoes don’t have to hurt!’ Come for a run, stay for a beer.”
