Palmetto Superfoods, a California-based plant-focused açaí and smoothie bowl brand, is getting ready to open a new location at River Street Marketplace in San Juan Capistrano at 31856 Paseo Adelanto, Suite 101.

The company’s new location is listed as coming soon on its website, though an exact opening date has not yet been announced. Palmetto Superfoods is currently hiring for this location. The San Juan Capistrano store will join a growing roster of California locations as the brand continues expanding beyond the Bay Area. When this new location opens, customers can expect the company’s signature Brazilian açaí bowls, smoothies, and customizable superfood options.

Palmetto Superfoods was founded in 2019 in San Francisco’s Inner Richmond neighborhood. The concept was created with a focus on serving authentic Brazilian açaí made without added sugars or preservatives. Since its debut, the brand has steadily expanded throughout Northern California and into Southern California markets.

The company now operates multiple locations across San Francisco, Palo Alto, Burlingame, San Jose, Walnut Creek, Livermore, Corte Madera, Fremont, Sacramento, Beverly Hills, and more. River Street Marketplace will mark the brand’s entry into San Juan Capistrano.

What Now previously reported on Palmetto Superfoods’ broader expansion plans, including upcoming sites in San Francisco, San Ramon, Fremont, and Oahu. That growth strategy reflects the company’s ongoing push into both established and emerging retail corridors across California and beyond.

The menu centers on customizable açaí bowls featuring organic açaí bases topped with granola, fresh fruit, nut butters, and other superfoods. In addition to bowls, Palmetto offers smoothies and other plant-based options designed for breakfast, snacks, and light meals. This will be an excellent landing space for Palmetto Superfoods, considering River Street Marketplace’s growing mix of retail and dining tenants in the heart of San Juan Capistrano.
