Panera Bread is set to debut at John Wayne Airport as part of a significant expansion of the airport’s dining options. The well-loved bakery chain will be coming as soon as next year, in the rollout of new food choices at the travel hub.

A representative for the airport tells What Now OC that the business will be taking up space in a 1,345-square-foot shell. Not many other details about the company’s coming are available at this time.

The airport, which was just awarded the title of one of the best large airport on the continent, has partnered with HMSHost, a global leader in food and beverage services. With this contract comes a bevy of new eateries in over 32,100 square feet of concession space across Terminals A, B, and C.

Dunkin’, Bonchon Korean Fried Chicken, Earl of Sandwich, Habit Burger Grill, and Auntie Anne’s will join the Panera. Local Orange County favorites like Wahoo’s Fish Tacos, Sgt. Pepperoni’s Pizza Store, and Mama’s Comfort Food & Cocktails will also be part of the new lineup.
