Panini Kabob Grill, the Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant known for its fresh, scratch-made kabobs, salads, and paninis, is set to open a new location in Aliso Viejo soon. According to its website, the eatery will open in the city by the end of the year, but an address is not known yet.

Yelp listings show that at one point several years ago, Panini Kabob Grill had a location in Aliso Viejo already, at 26611 Aliso Creek Rd. Suite A. But OC Health Care Agency Environmental Health Division records show that the location was out of business by mid-2021, and has since been replaced with Fennel Mediterranean Kitchen and Bar.

Founded in 1997, Panini Kabob Grill has grown into a staple in SoCal, with numerous locations throughout Orange, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Kern Counties, as well as the Inland Empire. It’s celebrated for its healthy, authentic Mediterranean cuisine made from scratch daily, including grilled chicken kabobs, house-made hummus, and freshly made tzatziki.

The company has been working on an impressive growth strategy recently, with several developments debuting in the next year or so. New restaurants are also coming to Hollywood Park, downtown Los Angeles, Norwalk, Downey, Eastvale, Arizona, and Las Vegas.
