Sara Lezama, founder of the popular Rye Goods bakery, is expanding her artisan baking empire to Costa Mesa. A brand-new location will be opening this winter at 234 E 17th Street in the Paseo 17 center, according to Fabulous California.

Known for its commitment to organic, locally sourced ingredients and traditional small-batch baking techniques, Rye Goods offers patrons rustic breads, pastries, and beverages. The concept is well known for its famous sourdough baguette, flaky pastries, and a variety of specialty coffee drinks.

Rye Goods began in Lezama’s garage in 2016, born from her passion for baking and desire to offer her community something wholesome. Over the years, her business has flourished, with locations in Newport Beach, Tustin, and Laguna Beach.

The Costa Mesa shop will also include a small deli and wine shop featuring products from local farms and suppliers. Its hours will be from 8 AM to 3 PM Tuesday through Thursday and 8 AM to 4 PM Friday through Sunday, and it will be closed on Mondays, the complex’s website states.
