Sweetgreen is expanding its reach with a new location planned for Laguna Niguel, records show. The restaurant will be opening next year at the property addressed at 27221 La Paz Road, Suite K.
“We are so excited to be opening up in Laguna Niguel in 2025! We’ll have more to share as we get closer to opening,” a company representative told What Now OC.
This location will span approximately 3,936 square feet. Bidding proposals for the project were due last week. The exact project value is still to be determined, and the construction start and end dates are yet to be finalized.
Sweetgreen’s signature offerings are fresh, sustainably sourced salads and grain bowls, with menu items such as the Harvest Bowl, Kale Caesar, and Guacamole Greens. The scratch-made, seasonal dishes are a more convenient and healthy dining option compared to most QSRs.
Founded in 2007 by Jonathan Neman, Nicolas Jammet, and Nathaniel Ru, Sweetgreen began with a single location in Washington, D.C., and has since expanded to over 225 locations nationwide. The chain is committed to environmental stewardship, pledging to become carbon neutral by 2027.
