The Red Barn, a legendary Palm Desert bar located at 73290 Highway 111, will finally reopen after a fire closed it in 2020. According to the Desert Sun, new owners have completely revamped the property, turning the former dive into a sophisticated space for drinks and live music.
Cyrus and Marcie Tahmasebi are the new operators of the business. They have embarked on significant renovations, including new beams, a revamped HVAC system, and a completely overhauled sewage system. There is now booth seating for bottle service, a cozy corner designed to resemble a living room or library, and a patio area with a jungle-inspired vibe.
Inside, expect a speakeasy-style ambiance with sultry red lighting to match the Red Barn theme. Artifacts from the Coachella Valley’s storied past will fill the space, with memorabilia from figures like Gene Autry and Liberace adorning the venue. The space will feature high-end décor and a sound system engineered to host top-tier DJs and live bands.
The Tahmasebis hope to host weekly music nights focused on genres like country and hip-hop. They’re hoping to bring back storied artists who once graced the Red Barn stage, including Electric Light Orchestra frontman Jeff Lynne.
