Tony’s Burgers, favorite casual dining destination in Cathedral City, is expanding its reach to Palm Springs with a sister concept called Tony’s Grill & Bar. The new establishment will occupy the former Pete’s Hideaway space at 665 South Palm Canyon Drive.
Jose Cuevas, general manager of Tony’s Burgers and the new Tony’s Grill & Bar, tells What Now OC that the new restaurant will serve the same menu items as the Cathedral City location, such as the popular Rainbow Burger and La Vida Loca — but also additional dinner selections like steaks and pasta.
Cuevas also revealed that the Palm Springs restaurant will feature a more diverse bar menu, including specialty cocktails and potentially brunch options from Friday to Sunday. The aim is to create an atmosphere that is slightly more upscale while retaining the friendly vibe Tony’s Burgers is known for.
The property is undergoing extensive renovations, with the interior being transformed, and a new bar and additional seating added. It will have a 70s diner ambiance and will open within the next two months, pending approval from the city.
