Located on the southeast corner of Carrier Drive and International Drive in Orlando, Dowdy Plaza will soon add a new diner to its food and drink roster. Called 50’s Diner, the new restaurant will open at 7223 International Drive, according to plan review documents submitted by 50’s Diner LLC.

Details on the new diner are still fairly scarce. It’s viewable on Google Maps, which shows that the restaurant will offer dine-in service, curbside pickup, and delivery.

What Now reached out on Friday to Uriel, the owner behind 50’s Diner, who was not immediately available for comment.

This leaves us wondering about a lot of the details, but the restaurant’s evocative name tells us a good deal. We’re not talking not just about a diner but about a 50’s diner; what comes to mind is a classic American setting, with classic American fare.

Opening at Dowdy Plaza, 50’s Diner will join a food and drink community that includes nearby restaurants like SLAP Hand Ripped Noodles and Divina Carne Brazilian Steakhouse.

Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
