Launched as a coffee cart in March 2025, Barakah Beans has been building a following in the Orlando area in the past year, and now the coffee brand is building on this success to launch its first brick-and-mortar cafe, owner Shams Khazil told What Now on Tuesday.
“Barakah Beans started with a layoff… and turned into a blessing,” Khazil wrote in a LinkedIn post almost a year ago. “After losing my first job out of college, I launched a mobile coffee cart—just days later. ‘Barakah’ means blessing in Arabic, and that’s what I wanted each drink to bring.”
Barakah will be bringing its coffee blessings to Kissimmee, opening at 3262 Vineland Road, according to submitted plan review documents.
“I want to open hopefully in June or July,” Khazil told What Now.
And what has the reception of Barakah Beans been like so far? What Now asked.
“People seem to love it, love the story. And they definitely love the coffee; people are always asking for a physical location, and I thought, ‘I can bring it.’”
The space is still in the design phase, but expect to find a place that is homey and cozy, serving up the coffee that has earned Barakah Beans its following—plus, Khazil says, a bit more traditional Middle Eastern coffee and tea drinks.
“The vibe we’re going for is—I want people to feel like they’re at home.”
