Based on its findings, the department has asked the Philadelphian establishments to correct the listed violations.

Located at City Ave, this Chinese restaurant serves the Philadelphian crowd with its soups, dim sum, and noodles. However, on Monday, health inspectors found several health violations at the dining spot.
Inspection Findings at DJ Kitchen
The Office of Food Protection of the Philadelphia Department of Health inspected DJ Kitchen on March 31. While checking, inspectors found rodents at the cooking and storage premises of the Chinese restaurant.
There were also many issues with handwashing facilities at DJ Kitchen. The Chinese restaurant’s employees were washing their hands at the food prep sink. Plus, there was no soap, and the handwashing sink was clogged at the Philadelphia-based restaurant. These issues were corrected on-site.
Accumulation of food residue in certain areas, along with water leakage from pipes, the department’s report highlighted all the violations at DJ Kitchen.
San Lucas Pizzeria

This Philadelphian pizzeria is a popular place for foodies wanting to have pizzas, cheesesteaks, burgers, and tortas. San Lucas Pizzeria was inspected by officials on Monday but could not give satisfactory results.
Inspection Findings at San Lucas Pizzeria
Philadelphia officials found many violations during their inspection of San Lucas Pizzeria. The handwash and mop sinks were blocked by utensils, thereby becoming difficult for staff use. This issue was corrected on the site.
Some of San Lucas Pizzeria’s potentially hazardous food items (like salsa with tomatoes) were being prepared at the wrong temperatures. After a discussion with the pizzeria’s person in charge, this issue was also asked to be corrected on-site.
Apart from these, the final report by the department highlighted that toilet doors did not close at San Lucas Pizzeria.

Stoli’s Steaks is a go-to spot for those who enjoy cheesesteaks, hot dogs, onion rings, hamburgers, and french fries. This Monday, the Office of Food Protection of the Philadelphia Department of Health found that Stoli’s Steaks was violating its health and sanitation guidelines.
Inspection Findings at Stoli’s Steaks
The Philadelphia department identified issues at the cheesesteak restaurant on March 31. Stoli’s Steaks did not have paper towels at its handwash sink, which was added during the correction. Additionally, the Philadelphian restaurant did not have soap dispensers and sanitizer test strips.
Inspectors also found issues with the physical facilities at Stoli’s Steaks. There were gaps under the food facility’s rear exit door, which was corrected on-site. The cover vent was not sealed in its restroom as well.
In its report, the health department also threw light on the absence of labeling on potentially hazardous ready-to-eat food at Stoli’s Steaks.
Corrective measures were taken for some violations during the inspection by the Philadelphia department. For the remaining issues, DJ Kitchen, San Lucas Pizzeria, and Stoli’s Steak have been given a period of 10-12 days.
