During a March 27 inspection, Philadelphia health officials cited Indian Kitchen Lovash for a health code violation. Indian Kitchen Lovash was cited for equipment issues and overall maintenance concerns across the facility.

Indian Kitchen Lovash serves authentic Indian dishes. According to the report, the violations were:
- No certified food safety employee was present at the start of the inspection; one arrived later.
- The handwashing sink in the front prep area was blocked. Items were removed, and staff were instructed to keep the sink clear for handwashing only.
- Ready-to-eat cheese in the basement walk-in cooler was not date-marked, but the problem was fixed during inspection.
- Beverage cases were stored directly on the floor instead of at least 6 inches above it.
- The inspection noted that plates and bowls were not stored properly.

- Unused kitchen equipment, including refrigerators and an ice machine, was found in the basement. Several gaskets needed repair.
- The report noted that washing stations were not properly sealed. Raw wood shelving and concrete blocks were used for storage and equipment support.
- Food residue, debris, rust, ice buildup, and dust were seen on equipment, refrigeration units, and fan guards.
- Leaks were noted at the food prep sink and a handwashing sink.
- Residue buildup was observed around restroom faucets.
- Floors required cleaning in multiple areas, including under equipment, in storage spaces, and in the second-floor closet due to debris and grease accumulation.
