According to the report, inspectors documented several violations. Those violations included:

  • The handwash sink in the food prep area was blocked by unused cooking equipment.
  • Paper towel dispensers were empty at handwash sinks in the prep and coffee areas.
  • The kitchen’s handwash sink was found unclean.
  • Uncovered French fries were stored in a reach-in freezer, the report states.
  • The report notes, the rinse section of the three-compartment sink unclean and not properly set up for sanitizing utensils.

  • No date markings were found on food items, including cakes, lunch meat, cheese, and marinated meats.
  • Wet wiping cloths were left on prep tables instead of being stored in a sanitizing solution.
  • The report noted that two reach-in refrigerators were missing kick plates, a smoker in the cooking area was out of service, and a splash guard was missing between the handwash sink and the three-bay sink.
  • Domestic equipment was found in use, including two chest freezers and a microwave, and two closed display cases not being used.
  • Food debris was found inside both microwaves in the cooking area.
  • A missing ceiling tile was observed in the restroom.
  • The report cited damaged and porous ceiling tiles in the cooking and kitchen areas, along with additional missing tiles in the restroom.
  • Unused cooking equipment and utensils were left throughout the kitchen.
  • The report said a mop was left sitting in a bucket instead of being elevated to air-dry.
  • One side of a griddle extended beyond the exhaust hood, and the report noted that ventilation systems must adequately prevent grease and condensation buildup.

Follow-up Inspection

The inspection noted that the three-compartment sink’s rinse section was not clean and not set up properly for sanitizing utensils, with debris present.

According to the report, the establishment was found to be out of compliance with the health code. The restaurant is expected to correct all the violations before reinspection.
