Known for its Mexican cuisine, Juno was recently cited for health code violations during an inspection. The inspection noted several food safety violations, including expired milk found in the under-counter refrigerator in the side prep room. Storage of shrimp at 43.5°F instead of the standard 41°F or below. Inspectors also found that the ice scoop handle was touching ice meant for customer use.
Inspectors also documented multiple sanitation-related violations on the premises. Food debris was found on the floor of one restroom and underneath cooking equipment. Dust and debris were on the floor of the front bar, the front side prep/storage, rear dry storage, side prep storage, and the basement storage area.
Inspectors observed a broken soap dispenser at the bar area’s handwashing sink. The handwashing sink in the restrooms had low water pressure.
Inspectors noted maintenance issues in various parts of the facility. The lights underneath the kitchen hood were not shielded from breakage.
