Pica’s Restaurant at 7803 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby Township, PA 19082, closed its dining room service on October 26, 2025. The post thanked the community for countless memories and mentioned that the restaurant is preparing to transition to a new building.

Meanwhile, their Take Out Department will serve entrees, appetizers, sandwiches, and pizza. The restaurant even asked the interested community members to contact 610-789-7770 to purchase any fixtures, paintings, or furniture.

Originally, the news of the closure came in March this year, and the restaurant was expected to go out of business during the summer. However, the closure got delayed, and patrons got a chance to pour their love for Italian fare at Pica’s Restaurant.

About Pica’s Restaurant

The history of Pica’s Restaurant started back in 1941 when Frank Pica Sr. started a small pizzeria shop in West Philadelphia. What began as a handful of tables, a take-out counter, and a brick-oven pizza soon became a neighborhood favorite.

In 1956, Frank Sr. and his son Frank Jr. moved the operation to Upper Darby, where the restaurant became a full-service eating venue, continuing the warm and family-friendly atmosphere that has always made Pica’s different.

The Pica’s team follows the philosophy of customers first, accompanied by an extensive menu with a variety of seafood, steaks, and salads, among others, along with the local favorite pizzas.

Although the restaurant has shut down, the family-owned business will continue in terms of takeout services. The Pica’s also have a second outlet in West Chester, which means their legacy and iconic square pizza are still being enjoyed by their faithful clientele throughout the area.
