The Princeton, New Jersey-based seafood restaurant Blue Point Grill has taken over the former Corner Bakery at 3 W Rd in the Village at Newtown shopping center, with the intention of opening next spring, according to local radio station 94.5 WPST.
A representative of Blue Point Grill and its parent company, JM Group, could not immediately be reached for comment.
Blue Point Grill was founded in 1999 by Jack Morrison, with the humble mission of serving seafood that is “simply and beautifully prepared to reveal its natural, delicious flavor.” That means a menu that evolves daily based on whatever the morning’s catch is, but always featuring 10-15 varieties from both coasts served alongside the brand’s signature New England clam chowder and lump crab cakes.
What’s more, Blue Point Grill prides itself on “supporting vessels, docks, and purveyors who continue to live, work, and believe in sustainable fishing practices,” reflecting JM Group’s wider commitment to “offering superb food that is…sourced from top farmers, fisherman, and ranchers,” at all of its restaurants including the flagship Nassau Street Seafood and Produce Company founded in 1981, Witherspoon Grill, Kristine’s, and The Princeton Farmer’s Market.
