The end of 2023 is bringing big news for Philly cookie enthusiasts, hungry for the next sweet craze. Florida’s Blueprint Cookies is making its Pennsylvania debut in Rittenhouse Square at the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024, reports local media outlet Philly Grub.

What Now Philadelphia had previously reported that franchisees Johnny Ciarlante, Christian Williams, and Joe Lees were actively scouting Philadelphia locations. The trio have since found the ideal spot for their opening salvo and are preparing to open their inaugural store at 268 South 20th Street.

Ciarlante, Williams, and Lees intend to follow the Rittenhouse Square shop with storefronts in Fishtown and University City. Precise locations and approximate opening dates are not yet available for the group’s next two Blueprint Cookie stores.

Long-time friends, Ciarlante and Williams, will oversee the business side of the establishment, while Lees will apply his years of construction experience to the stores. Ciarlante expresses confidence and enthusiasm for the enterprise, stating “We believe franchising Blueprint Cookies is the first step to a very long and successful business journey.”

The three Philadelphia locations will mark Blueprint’s first venture outside of Florida. The bakery began serving fresh, gourmet cookies in 2019. The shop serves chocolate chip cookies and classic sugar cookies year round, as well as featuring a rotating weekly menu of unusual flavors like rocky road and blueberry cheesecake.
