BoSa Donuts, the Arizona-born sensation that bakes some of the state’s most loved doughnuts, is expanding once again, under the direction of owner Jackson Chao.

The doughnut shop is opening an additional North Scottsdale location, with a post on Facebook showing how construction is progressing. According to the brief video, the shop, located at 19641 N. Scottsdale Road, Suite 115, should be open in December 2025 — in time to pick up a few dozen for holiday gatherings.

The first BoSa Donuts opened in Chandler in 1994, and has grown to more than 50 locations across Arizona — with most open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Bosa, which means “happy circle”, does not franchise its stores — believing, instead, to train current workers to leadership positions.

The shop is known for its classic yeast-raised and cake doughnuts in traditional flavors like chocolate, glazed, frosted, coconut, and blueberry. BoSa also a full range of breakfast and lunch sandwiches — most of them served on the shop’s own croissants and bagels. There’s also muffins and other baked goods, coffee drinks, fresh fruit smoothies, and boba tea to round out the menu.

Bosa has won numerous awards for its delicious treats, including “Best Doughnut” by Phoenix Magazine, and was named the best doughnuts in the state of Arizona by Pure Wow.
