Brooklyn Dumpling Shop is preparing to bring delicious, touchless New York eats to Philadelphia. The chain has three locations planned for the Philly area; first up, 308 South Street, followed by 3400 Lancaster Avenue and 1504 Sansom Street, reports The Philadelphia Inquirer.
The South Street location will be Brooklyn Dumpling’s first foray in Philadelphia. The location hopes to open its doors in July.
Brooklyn Dumpling allows customers to self-serve through a series of automat-style doors. This no-contact method of food-delivery is particularly appealing to guests in a post-Covid world.
Guests order at Brooklyn Dumpling either through an app or at an in-store kiosk. They then scan a barcode and wait for their designated locker to open to grab their order and enjoy.
As the name suggests, Brooklyn Dumpling Shop originated in New York in 2021. The restaurant currently has six locations, with many more planned across the United States. In addition to the Pennsylvania locations, Brooklyn Dumpling Shop has restaurants planned for Princeton, Newark, New Brunswick, Montclair, Bergen County, and Willowbrook, all in New Jersey.
Brooklyn Dumpling Shop offers a wide range of option, including traditional, specialty, gluten-free, and vegan dumplings. Guests can enjoy everything from pork and cabbage potstickers to cheesesteak dumplings. Most Brooklyn Dumpling Shops are open 24 hours, allowing customers to sate their hunger at any hour of the day.
