A popular cafe is brewing up its next chapter in Philadelphia, preparing to open a new spot in Logan Square.

Best friends Sarah Qi and Trista Tang are bringing the third Cake & Joe location to 1735 Market Street, joining the Pennsport and Fishtown cafes, according to the website.

“Putting smiles on people’s faces was what we wanted to strive for, so we thought what better way to do so than with a place where people can relax, eat delicious foods, and drink delicious drinks,” the website reads.

The cafe serves classic tea, coffee and espresso drinks, along with unique lattes such as taro coconut matcha, cream caramel and rose. Refreshers include lemon-mint, lychee, peach and mango. They also offer Calpis, a Japanese noncarbonated, lactic-acid drink available in fruity flavors similar to the refreshers.

To pair with the drinks, the cafe offers mousse cakes in flavors from peanut butter chocolate to raspberry and passion fruit, as well as pastries such as croissants and muffins.

Beyond sweets, Cake & Joe serves classic sandwiches like breakfast and avocado toast, along with standouts such as the mushroom melt with marinated Kennett Square mushrooms, Cabot cheddar and Cooper Sharp, and the blueberry ricotta with ricotta, honey and blueberries on sourdough.

Entrees include a sous vide beef kimchi rice bowl and a homemade braised pork belly rice bowl to round out the menu.

The shop’s website reads: “Coming soon,” though it has not announced an official opening date. Follow along on Instagram and Facebook for updates.
