Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop is ready to carve out its return to South Jersey this summer with a new location at The View at Marlton on Route 73.
The shop will be owned and operated by franchisees Jimit Dharia and Urvi Jatania, who also run Capriotti’s in Princeton. It will open between Banh Thai and the recently added Qdoba.
“It’s exciting! I’m a big fan of the food we serve,” Dharia told What Now Philadelphia. “It’ll be a good addition to the community. We’ve had such good success in Princeton so we just want to continue that with Marlton as well.”
In addition to the Marlton shop set to open Aug. 26, the duo has another Capriotti’s under construction at the Warren Village Shopping Center in Warren, expected to open by year’s end.
Capriotti’s is best known for The Bobbie, its signature sub made with slow-roasted turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and mayo. Often called “The Greatest Sandwich in America,” it remains a customer favorite and anchors the menu, blending classic deli fare with more elevated options.
The menu also features a lineup of cheesesteaks, including the Classic, the plant-based Impossible, the premium American Wagyu and the Cheesesteak BLT, which is Dharia’s favorite. Chicken-based varieties, like the Chicken Chipotle Crunch, give customers additional flavor choices.
Cold subs feature staples such as the Classic Italian and Turkey Club, while hot subs include the Capastrami, Meatball, and French Dip made with Wagyu beef.
Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop was founded in 1976 in Wilmington, Delaware, by siblings Lois and Alan Margolet, who set out to create something unique while honoring family traditions, according to the company’s website.
Today, the chain has grown to more than 175 locations across 33 states.
