A New York based restaurant group is cooking up something brand new for the New Jersey dining scene. Bread and Butter hospitality will be opening Caroline’s Tavern in Avenel later this year, reports local media outlet Asbury Park Press.

Not much information is currently available about the new concept moving into 150 Avenel Street. Caroline’s Tavern will be taking over the space that last housed Curtains Bar and Restaurant. While a precise opening date is not currently available, Bread and Butter is hoping to open the eatery by December.

While the hospitality group established itself in New York, it has been making a pretty intense push into the Garden State this year. In addition to Caroline’s Tavern, Bread and Butter is opening two Sofia’s Taquerias later this year, one in Toms River, the other in Ledgewood. Additionally, the group is developing Violette’s, also in Woodbridge, with plans to open next year.
