NBA legend Charles Barkley is teaming up with Valley Forge Casino Resort to launch a new steakhouse and cigar lounge, blending fine dining with his signature style.

“The Philadelphia area has always felt like home to me, and I’m thrilled to bring something new to a community that’s played such a big part in my life,” Charles Barkley said in a statement. “We’re creating a spot that’s fun, comfortable, and full of personality. I want it to be the kind of place where people can unwind, share a great meal and feel that same energy and connection that make this community so special.”

Philadelphia marks a homecoming for “Sir Charles,” the powerhouse forward who spent eight seasons with the 76ers after being drafted fifth overall in 1984. After the standout years in Philadelphia, Barkley went on to play four seasons with the Phoenix Suns and finished his career with the Houston Rockets.

Since retiring in 2000, the Hall of Famer has become a fixture on Inside the NBA as a commentator and analyst. The 76ers honored his legacy the following year by retiring his jersey, the NBA’s website reads.

Now, Barkley is stepping into the restaurant world. The contemporary steakhouse will blend modern elegance with personal touches, featuring memorabilia and design elements that celebrate both Barkley and Philadelphia. Next to the restaurant, the cigar lounge will offer a refined, club-like atmosphere with a humidor, full bar and private lockers, according to the press release.

The menu is still being finalized, but Barkley will have a hands-on role in shaping it. On the beverage side, Boyd Gaming, which owns the resort, has entered a national partnership to feature Barkley’s liquor brand, Redmont Distilling Co., across its properties.

VP and General Manager of Valley Forge Casino Resort is eager to partner with Barkley.

“Charles Barkley’s personality, charisma and love for Philadelphia make him an incredible partner, and we are incredibly honored to have the opportunity to bring his vision to life at Valley Forge Casino Resort,” Martha Morales said in a statement.

The steakhouse and cigar lounge mark the next phase of the casino’s multiyear transformation, which includes new dining, entertainment and guest experience upgrades.

While an official opening date has not been announced, guests can visit the Valley Forge Casino Resort website or follow along on Instagram and Facebook.
