The best food is prepared by people who truly love the cuisine they are crafting. Visitors can taste the dedication and care that goes into serving up the dishes that restauranters are passionate about. This exact ethos has led a North Jersey Mexican chain to great success. Childhood friends Vishal Patel and Chuck Patel turned their enthusiasm for superior tacos and burritos into one of North Jersey’s favorite restaurants. Soon, however, South Jersey will get a taste of what its northern siblings have been savoring; Tacoria Mexican Street Kitchen is preparing to open a location in Cherry Hill later this summer, reports the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The concept-focused on serving up delicious, freshly prepared Mexican dishes-will be opening in the Shoppes at Garden State Park at 801 Haddonfield Road. Co-owner Vishal Patel kindly carved out some time to explain to What Now Philadelphia what, precisely, made the new spot so appealing. “We love the burbs of Philly” he says. “We think this is a great market. For us, it’s one step closer to Philly. It’s a market we’ve been looking at for a long time, we were looking for the right opportunity and this seems like a great location for us.”
Tacoria’s Cherry Hill location will continue the chain’s-now 11 (soon to be 12) locations deep-established history of beautifully prepared cuisine and an incredibly warm and welcoming environment. Patel states: “The menu is the same. We are consistent with the menu throughout- it’s fresh food that we serve on a daily basis. We have seating inside, we’ll have a little outdoor seating as well. It’s a fast-casual kind of service, it’s comfortable, it’s vibrant, it’s a very upbeat and positive experience.”
Truly, Tacoria understands that a great atmosphere paired with superior food creates a unique and indelible dining experience. Patel describes what he and his team hope to create as: “Upbeat, positive. We’re big on just positive words and actions so throughout our restaurant you’ll see ‘life is beautiful’ and ‘love is the answer’ graffitied everywhere. You’ll be greeted with a smile.”
Cherry Hill diners won’t have to wait too much longer to sink their teeth into Tacoria’s fare; Patel states that he and his partners are hoping to be open by mid-August.
Tacoria has a busy stretch ahead of it; the chain will be opening new locations in Paramus, Somerville, Summit, and Freehold. Patel states that the Paramus storefront is, in fact, a relocation set to open in late August or early September, and Summit and Sommerville are both projecting late 2025 openings, while Freehold will be ready to feed customers at some point in 2026.
As the chain expands and spreads its lovingly prepared cuisine throughout the region, it is certain to charm customers with its optimistic outlook and authentic dishes. Patel, for his part, has a humble but admirable goal for the concept: “We want you to leave more upbeat than when you walked in.”
