An up-and-coming cookie company is bringing a sweet infusion of urban cool to the Allentown dining scene. Cookie Plug, known for fusing delicious baked goods, hip hop sensibilities, and street art, is opening its first Lehigh Valley location this fall, reports local media outlet WFMZ.

The bakery, led by franchisee Carlos Silver, will be occupying Unit 10B of the Village West shopping center, located at 3100 Tilghman Street. While Cookie Plug does not have a precise opening date set for its Lehigh Valley storefront, Silver is aiming for an October debut.

Cookie Plug first burst onto the crowded cookie market in California in 2019. The chain’s unique approach to the titular treat focuses on creating thick, freshly made snacks that are “part cookie, part cake, and part brownie.”

The concept’s delicious recipes and hip approach help it stand out from the saturated cookie market. As the website states: “Fresh out the oven! You know the smell. Created by using only the highest quality ingredients. Dropping a limited edition flavor every month, while servin’ up the G.O.A.T cookie, the OG Chocolate Chip, nonstop. It’s a vibe, combined with the finest cookies that you will find anywhere on the planet, that’s the Cookie Plug.”
