A born-and-bred Philly dining sensation is making its way to a new Garden State home. Franchisees Mark Heinz and Debbie Grady are opening a new Federal Donuts and Chicken in Princeton, reports the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Heinz and Grady have not yet disclosed the precise location of the Princeton storefront, however a lease has been signed. A timeline also remains mysterious and unknown, however local media outlet NJBiz does state that the bakery plans to open soon. What Now Philadelphia has reached out to Heinz for additional details but has not yet received a response.

The duo are signed onto open four Federal Donuts locations. They recently launched their first enterprise at 300 Route 73 South in Marlton. 

Speaking of bringing the innovative chain’s distinctive cuisine to the region, the pair states: “From day one, we’ve been drawn to FD&C’s amazing food and welcoming spirit, and we can’t wait to share it with our new neighbors in South Jersey.”

Since its founding in 2011, Federal Donuts has made an ideal marriage of flavors between the sweet and the savory. The brain child of celebrated chef Michael Solomonov, the menu offers fried chicken, donuts, and coffee.
