A brand-new day is dawning for the Deptford Town Center, and a popular national chain will be on hand to help visitors greet it. First Watch, a concept celebrated for its delicious approach to breakfast, brunch, and lunch, has signed on to be a part of the shopping mecca’s revitalization, reports The Philadelphia Business Journal.
First Watch is one of seven new retailers to sign leases for the mall, which has been sitting vacant for two years. The daytime eatery will be on the left half of the 1450 Clements Bridge Road development. The restaurant will have 5,000 dedicated square feet to serve up its waffles, pancakes, and omelettes.
The first wave of stores to open-Blinds to Go, Aldi, and Tractor Supply Co.-are expected to open this winter, with the remaining tenants to follow at some point thereafter. While this does not provide a particularly succinct timeline, it does suggest First Watch will not be welcoming customers this year and will likely open in spring of 2026.
First Watch has been helping visitors greet the day since 1983. Founded in California, the chain and its more-nutritious menu has spread to include 524 locations across the country.
