JRI Hospitality is in the early stages of bringing Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers to Middletown, Delaware, reports Delaware Online. The franchisee has submitted a development plan to the local Planning and Zoning Commission for a storefront at 601 South Ridge Avenue.

The plan needs to be approved by a final Town Council hearing. JRI Hospitality president and CEO, Jason Ingermanson, is hopeful that Freddy’s will open the doors to its first Delaware restaurant by the end of 2024.

JRI Hospitality invested in Freddy’s early and frequently. The company owns nearly 80 Freddy’s, and is using the Middletown location as a blueprint for potential additional Delaware restaurants. “We have a lot more in the pipeline”, Ingermanson states.
