Southern California-based Habit Burger Grill is currently in the midst of an ambitious nationwide expansion, with a particular emphasis on the Philadelphia region, the Philadelphia Business Journal reported yesterday, Oct 9.

According to the Business Journal, the plan is still in its nascent stages, with no franchise agreements inked nor any number of locations or areas decided upon. Nevertheless, the brand is “actively searching for potential real estate sites,” and “hopes to have new restaurants up and running in the next two to three years.”

The Habit Burger Grill currently operates one Philadelphia outpost at the King of Prussia Town Center, which VP of Franchising John Phillips calls “a testament to how well we’ve been able to  fill the demand for quality burgers and quick-service offerings just outside of Philadelphia,” adding, “we’re certain that we can have the same [effect] in other surrounding suburbs and within city limits alike.”

Meanwhile, after bouncing back from a covid-induced revenue loss between 2019 and 2020, Habit Burger Grill’s CEO, Russ Bendel, said the company is “‘firing on all cylinders,’ making it an ideal time to grow its presence in the Philadelphia market,” according to the Business Journal.

“We are eager to share fresh, hand-crafted meals and the laid-back, Southern California vibe that The Habit exudes with guests in Philadelphia,” Bendel said.
