A new taproom, restaurant, and production facility for Hawk Mountain Brewery, a four-year-old operation that’s been running out of a repurposed barn in New Tripoli, is currently under construction at 3530 Lehigh St in Whitehall Township, with a projected opening time of this summer, according to a recent article from local media outlet WFMZ.

What Now Philadelphia was unable to reach a representative of Hawk Mountain Brewery for comment.

The space, which occupies 2,500 square feet and sits on a two-acre site along Coplay Creek, will feature indoor and outdoor seating alongside a five-barrel brewing system, kitchen, walk-in cooler, and center bar reports WFMZ

In the warmer months, however, the highlight will doubtlessly be a wrap-around deck “where customers will be able to relax near the Coplay Creek,” with “Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, and yard games.”

Speaking to WFMZ, co-owner Matt Ritz said, “The entire area is pretty scenic, and the deck will offer great views.”

The tasting room will have 12 to 16 rotating taps, while the food menu will feature a selection of sandwiches such as roast beef, pulled pork, and brisket, as well as shareables like chicken wings, fries, and pierogis, with vegan options to boot.

“I’m also big on not charging a lot,” Ritz told WFMZ’s Ryan Kneller, “So, this will be a very reasonable place where you can get a good sandwich and a good beer at a good price.”
