A popular Allentown brewing company is set to relocate to a new space next year.
HiJinx Brewing Company owner Curt Keck has signed a lease in partnership with the Tatamy Volunteer Fire Company in Tatamy, according to a post shared via Facebook.
“We’re aiming to open sometime in January, and this spot is going to be built for good times: cornhole, quoits, karaoke, live music, outdoor fun, seasonal celebrations, and a banquet/private event space–with more to come. We can’t wait to be part of the Tatamy community,” the post read.
The post sparked an outpouring of congratulatory excitement.
“This is beautiful, the community coming together to help each other out,” Lacey Ojeda commented on the post.
“Woo. The hijinx continue. There’s even enough space there for a Shenanigan or two,” Stephen McElroy added.
“Congratulations! I feel like I just got an early Christmas present!!” Mark Kolb said.
The Tatamy Volunteer Fire Company also welcomes the partnership with enthusiasm.
“Tatamy Fire Company is looking ahead to an exciting 2026. With a proud history of more than 100 years—including many years operating a social club—we’re thrilled to reintroduce a social element to our organization. We’re excited to welcome HiJinx Brewing Company as the new tenant of our hall building, and we look forward to a strong partnership and a bright future together,” the fire company shared on Facebook.
HiJinx launched in 2007 after Keck began homebrewing and sharing his batches with friends in his 400-square-foot garage, according to the website.
The brewery officially opened in 2011 after encouragement to share Keck’s homebrew. By 2014, having outgrown its original one-barrel system, HiJinx moved into a 4,000-square-foot facility with a 10-barrel system, a tasting room with light fare, snacks and sharables.
“While you’re at the brewery, you’re guaranteed great beer, fun, and a little bit of mischief. Cheers to the HiJinx life! Drink some HiJinx and let the tomfoolery begin!” the website reads.
