A popular Pennsylvania brewery’s next location may make Isaac Asimov nervous, but is certain to delight a whole new group of beer enthusiasts. Human Robot Brewing is setting up its circuit boards for a taproom in New Hope, with plans to open later this year, reports the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The popular concept is ensuring that the space at 12 West Mechanic Street stays in the beer business. The building was used to serve up frosty brews from Great Barn Brewery until October of last year.

Human Robot co-founder Jake Atkinson tells What Now Philadelphia that it will still be at least a couple more months before the 900 square foot taproom is ready to pour its first draught. He explains that Human Robot will have to build the entire place out, so a good deal of work remains.

Human Robot’s been a powerful presence in the Pennsylvania beer scene since it arrived in Kensington in 2020. The brewery also has locations in South Philly and Jenkintown.
