Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams will scoop up its popular dessert to Pennsylvania residents starting this fall, according to the PhillyVoice.
The ice cream brand, with 40 locations in the U.S., is set to open two Philly locations: one at 1322 Frankford Ave. in Fishtown and another at 1901 Chestnut St. in Rittenhouse. While Jeni’s popular flavors have been available by the pint at chain grocery stores like Whole Foods and Wegman’s, the new Philly storefronts will be the first brick-and-mortar locations in Pennsylvania.
According to the brand’s mission statement, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is “devoted to making better ice creams and bringing people together.”
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams uses no synthetic flavorings or dyes, as well as steers free of stabilizers and emulsifiers in the productions process. Jeni’s has a variety of flavors to choose from — ranging from salty caramel, skillet cinnamon roll, boston cream pie, pineapple upside down cake, honey vanilla bean, dairy-free options and more.
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is a certified B Corp and is committed to being eco-friendly and is working toward a zero waste business model. Currently, 95% of what can be purchased in Jeni’s storefronts is reusable, recyclable or compostable.
Co-owners Charly and Jeni Bauer were not available for comment by the time of deadline, but you can stay up to date with Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams on Instagram and Facebook.
