Johnny Scoops, a longtime Wildwood, New Jersey, ice cream staple, is relocating but will continue serving its signature treats and expand.
The new location will sit at the corner of Pacific Avenue and Maple Avenue, just two blocks from the former boardwalk space.

Owner Michael Terzaghi and his family are overseeing a full build-out of the new spot.
“The location we’re going into right now is a completely blank slate. It’s just an open floor plan. It’s all really exciting but also tedious, just going through what our layout is going to be, how it is going to be presented, and where you are going to order and pick up,” Terzaghi told What Now Philadelphia.
The 3,000-square-foot space will continue to reflect the classic black-and-red color scheme of the Johnny Scoops logo, while adding some new touches.
The shop will also offer dine-in and takeout options, along with several new menu additions.
“We’re going to re-pivot. We have our own coffee that gets roasted. We want to build on that. We want to offer more of a menu–start doing breakfast in the morning, then our ice cream at night. A dual-type restaurant with a walk-up counter,” he said.
While the menu is still in development, sneak previews will feature bagels, biscuits and acai bowls.
“It is rewarding. I do the work with my wife, my daughter, Meg from Wildwood Eats. We all sit down and do tastings, figure out the menu, figure out the layout, get different perspectives. It’s coming along pretty well and makes more sense rather than just one person coming up with everything,” Terzaghi said.
Terzaghi, a foodie at heart, is excited for the debut of the new Johnny Scoops location, set to open just in time for the 2026 shore season.
