Richard Cusack, the owner and head chef at June BYOB, together with his wife Christina, will be debuting a new concept, Café le Jardin, this spring at 34 W Merchant St in Audubon.

“It’s basically going to be a French brasserie, all-day cafe,” Richard tells What Now Philadelphia. “I hate using the term farm-to-table, but I got a lot of good farmers…I’m just trying to locally source everything for the restaurant.”

As for the menu, Chef Cusack will be preparing reliable yet “simple” items such as pastries, croissants, charcuterie, and “classic French brasserie dishes.” Meanwhile, Richard is teaming up with a local coffee company, who’s going to come in and train the cafe’s baristas.

“I’m excited to go there and I’m excited to open,” says Richard, adding, “Hopefully it’ll draw people from Philly to come to Audubon and check it out.”
