Kura Revolving Sushi is expanding its footprint in New Jersey with another location on the way. The company currently operates five restaurants in the state, with three more listed as “coming soon.”

What Now Philadelphia previously reported on upcoming locations in Freehold and Lawrenceville—now, another is set to open in Parsippany at 1515 State Route 10, Unit #170.

Newton Hoang, vice president of marketing, told What Now Philadelphia the new location is expected to open in April or May 2026.

“It will follow suit to our other NJ locations and mirror the same hours of operation,” Hoang said.

Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Kura Sushi’s menu blends traditional Japanese flavors with modern touches, served through its signature conveyor belt system. Rolls range from staples like California and spicy tuna to specialties like the Crunchy Taco Roll and Tiger Roll.

Beyond sushi, Kura serves an array of hot sides and small plates, such as takoyaki, fried shrimp wontons, tempura, panko tuna sticks and crispy chicken. Noodle lovers can opt for beef or shrimp tempura udon, miso ramen or spicy tonkotsu. Light bites like edamame and cucumber salad round out the appetizer selection.

Desserts range from mochi ice cream and sesame balls to cheesecake and taiyaki ice cream.

Kura’s drink menu includes Japanese beer, sake, plum wine and chu-hi cocktails.

The sushi chain operates 79 locations nationwide, including New Jersey outposts in Cherry Hill, Edison, Fort Lee, Jersey City and Paramus. It also has a Philadelphia location on Chestnut Street.
