Lehigh Valley residents longing for a unique and elegant experience will soon be able to enjoy the sophistication and refinement of Regency era France. Let Them Drink Tea, the newest concept from Taylor Romero, the baker behind local favorite (and sister concept) Let Them Eat Cake, is opening in Bethlehem this summer.

The tearoom will be serving up hot cuppas and delicious treats at 306 Brodhead Avenue. Locals won’t have to wait too long to enjoy this unique time machine, designed to transport visitors to a different time and place through tea leaves and finger sandwiches; Romero tells What Now Philadelphia that she is aiming for a July opening.

She also offered a little insight into the menu, stating: “The new place will have bakery items such as brownies, cupcakes, and macarons in addition to afternoon tea and morning tea. “

Romero has had great success serving afternoon teas at Let Them Eat Cake; the feature has been a fan favorite. Let Them Drink Tea will allow her to turn her focus more fully on the experience. The website offers this tantalizing peak at what’s to come: “Delight in a curated selection of artisanal teas, accompanied by a medley of sweet and savory treats—each crafted with the same meticulous attention to detail that defines our signature cakes and macarons. Whether you’re seeking a tranquil morning respite or a charming afternoon gathering, our space is designed to make every moment feel like a special occasion.”
