One of the city’s favorite eateries is getting ready to introduce a taste of Philadelphia freedom to Chestnut Hill. Liberty Kitchen is bringing its wide array of deli favorites to the neighborhood, reports the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The new location will be the concept’s third, joining a roster of sibling restaurants in Fishtown and South Kensington. Liberty Kitchen is moving into the space that previously housed Ranck’s Lunchmeats, at 8221 Germantown Avenue, #3446.

A precise opening date is not currently available, however according to a social media post made by Liberty Kitchen on October 8th, the eatery and market is hoping to open before the year is out.

The post expresses enthusiasm about entering the Chestnut Hill dining scene-a world Liberty Kitchen is already well-versed in. “Thanks to Chestnut Hill for the support over the years. We have been doing the farmers market here since 2020 and are excited to plant our feet down here”

Liberty Kitchen’s menu features an impressive array of sandwiches, certain to please every palate. Guests can choose from hot favorites like chicken parm to cold hoagies including the Italian Salumeria. Visitors uninterested in delicious sandwiches can opt to sink their teeth into one of Liberty Kitchen’s tomato or specialty pies or a healthy salad. The eatery ensures no patron goes hungry, offering vegetarian and vegan options alongside its more carnivorous dishes.
