An Italian favorite is preparing to make its long delayed Center City arrival. Mulherin’s-the sibling restaurant of Wm. Mulherin’s Sons-will be opening on the ground floor of the Girard building next year, reports The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The long-in-development restaurant from the Method Co. hospitality group will occupy 2,600 square feet at 1199 Ludlow Street. The space will accommodate up to 110 guests, with 60 indoor seats, and 50 dedicated to outdoor dining. The design will be very similar to Wm. Mulherin’s Sons, featuring the same style of leather banquets and mosaic tile flooring.

Mulherin’s was originally slated to open in the first quarter of 2022. After a series of delays, Method Co. anticipates at last opening the restaurant’s doors in early 2024.

Mulherin’s will emphasize wood-fired pizzas, as well as offering small plates and freshly made pastas. While the eatery will feature some entrees, the menu, overall, will be lighter than Wm. Mulherin’s Sons.
