Soaked Winery will offer sophisticated blends to sip minus the snobbery when they open up at the Riverport Public Market in Bethlehem. Soaked will be one of 20+ vendors at the food and drink market at 17 W. 2nd St., which is slated to open in the spring of 2022.
“We are super excited about the Riverport Public Market. The idea of being in a shared space was really appealing,” Soaked Winery founder Shannon Birosik told What Now Philadelphia. “I’m so excited to work with other vendors doing collaborations. The demo kitchen is also exciting. Small local businesses supporting each other, what could be better!”
Soaked will host wine tastings at Riverport Public Market, as well offer their wines by the glass, growler, or bottle. Market goers can also get some on tap.
Birosik, who worked as a food scientist for brands like Peeps before opening her own business, delights in concocting brand new small batches at Soaked’s Walnutport location in a charming 1837 German-style bank barn that overlooks a pond on the winery’s stunning countryside property. Soaked, which also has a Milford location, hosts tastings and events and sells bottled classics like pinot grigio and cabernet sauvignon. You’ll also find fruit wines at Soaked in cranberry, peach, blueberry, and apple. Soaked Winery is a picturesque embodiement of wine culture, but with a laid back and inclusive atmosophere.
“At Soaked Winery our goal is to create an environment where everyone is welcome and where the stuffy heirs of wine snobbery fall by the wayside,” a press release reads.
