When Eryn and Brad Streett met in college, they fell in love with each other and craft beer. That passion lead them to start home brewing and opening their own homebrew supply shop. Through a chance encounter, they met Ken Roberson who was just as crazy about beer as they were. The three formed a partnership and opened AleCraft Brewery taproom in Bel Air, Maryland. Now the trio is opening a second taproom in York County, Pennsylvania.
“AleCraft is what happens when the right people with complementary skills come together to strive towards their dream. Our story is the ideal fusion of passion, experience, fate, and hard work while searching for beer perfection across all styles,” their website reads.
The company currently has a brewery license application pending with the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board for 15 S. Main St. in Railroad. AleCraft Brewery aims to open its new brewery in the spring. York Dispatch reports that the Railroad location will include outdoor seating and a rooftop deck. Like their Maryland location, which partners with Bird’s Nest Barbecue to provide food, AleCraft Brewery will work with Fox and Fern Cafe to feed their customers in York County. Fox and Fern will operate a café inside of the AleCraft Brewery.
“This unique location in Railroad will provide a spacious, convenient, well-appointed taproom and a landscaped outdoor area, giving the Southern York County area a closeby destination with a farm-country feel,” Brad Streett, who serves as AleCraft Brewery’s vice president, told York Dispatch.
