McAlister’s Deli, the beloved Atltanta-based chain, is making its way to Mechanicsburg, reports local media outlet Penn Live. Few details are available about the impending location, however it seems probable the deli will be located at 5401 Carlisle Pike.

McAlister’s representative did not confirm a precise address or timeline for the restaurant, only that a deli is definitely set to open in Mechanicsburg.

However, McAlister’s is included on a preliminary subdivision and development plan for the yet-to-be-erected  Beltway Commons shopping complex. Pacifica Companies, the project’s developer, needs final approval from the township before construction can begin.

McAlister’s opened its first deli in Mississippi in 1989. As of 2023, the restaurant has 550 locations spread across 29 states. McAlister’s carries deli classics including sandwiches, soups, salads, and baked potatoes. The restaurant is celebrated for its famous sweet tea. McAlister’s offers vegetarian and gluten-free options on both its dine-in and catering menus.
